Excited for Zhalfir but don't know where to start? I've got you covered. Zhalfir was the primary location for Mirage and Visions, Magic's first internally led stories (and a big part of the ramp up into the classic Weatherlight saga). It told the story of the Mirage War.

The human factions and Biomes alone are far more interesting than the setting got credit for.
I really don't think that we gave Edge of Eternities its due for the flavour and art direction. Just looking through the mono black cards alone this was a Sci-fi set that manged to be spooky, fantastical and brutal in ways a most other "fantasy" sets have lacked scryfall.com/search?as=gr...
I still think about this key art from Lost Caverns of Ixalan regularly. This to me is the perfect level of pop culture homage and inspiration and why Duskmourn at the time felt heavy handed in comparison. I hope we go back to Ixalan several more times and get lots more of this

As someone who doesn't really want to engage with UB cards, its increasingly obvious that I'll never again have anything approaching an all-in build on a strat. Every archetype is now going to have half the "good" cards be UB and so I'll always be playing jank versions of decks. So fun...

Anyone else in the UK stuggling to buy non-UB product from game stores? My LGS has a 2xPack max limit for Strixhaven because they have such a low allocation. But they have endless amounts of the past years UB offering. What the heck is going on?
My now finished paperback copy of Omens of Chaos has already earned its roughed edges being taken everywhere with me in my bag for the past couple of weeks. It's crazy how much world/multiverse building we got, mostly in passing. More well written physical media novels please @magic.wizards.com

The #mtg offering from a UK highstreet retailer (that I really rate for the record). One lone Lorwyn Precon and the rest is TMNT and ATLA. Either Lorwyn was so popular that it flew off the shelves, or UB is too lucrative to waste shelf space on other products. Either way I think this blows.
Just picked up some packs from 'Got it, Got it, Need it' in Margate and they had some #Adventuretime Play Packs from Cryptozoic Entertainment in stock. What a strange little product. (Stoked that I pulled a "Princess Glitter" Princess Bubble Gum!)
#mtgstrixhaven is only the 2nd(?) return set of a previous Plane that was also itself a solo-set, and like Wilds Of Eldraine it's absolutely ramping up all the best elements of it's first slightlty mid outing and tweaking some of it's less popular aspects. It's looking so good!
