New #MTG releases thoughts: MBC - Love the Vorthos is getting the spotlight here. I'll always want them to get those characters printed as it doesn't matter to me. I like the callback effects here, but none speak to ME as to build new decks. Fav: Yume, Kuroki, Homer, Itazura, Massimo...

Took 14 year old daughter to watch The Odyssey last night; her first rated R movie. Some thoughts about the experience with her. 1st Nolan movie theaters (IMAX) since Intersteller. Still so loud. Didn’t see anyone complain about it so I thought it was balanced. She covered her ears in loud parts.

Also, would love to see if we could adapt new language and open up design space: “When ~This~ deals combat damage to a non-creature permanent…” If we’re going to have battles and planeswalkers, also allows for some growth too. I know it’s not going to happen w/every card, but cleaner(?)

Ok, got confirmed. These are cards from the upcoming Battle of The Five Armies product coming out next year. Guess you can have early access to the EA non foils for ya commander shenanigans. Nice tease but threw me a loop for a minute.

Since the Sonics left Seattle my attention to the NBA has been a near zero. But Philly? My only hope is a guest spot on It's Always Sunny.
Ok...apparently people are trying to throw a hissy fit about the black Aragon....again. Sigh..... Look, the nicest thing I can say is if you like the movie version of the character, fair enough, that ya take. However, the character in the original tale was described as dark skinned. (cont.)

For the unititiated: back during Mirrodin Besieged block, WotC wanted to advertise for the set after the Mirrodin-Phyrexian conflict, but not reveal the victor! As such, a lot of promotional material advertised the fight could go either way. With "Mirrodin Pure" being the Mirrodin Victory. #Vorthos

I'm more concerned about the $7 for a booster pack. Yeah, the Commander decks are a lot but we're really have $7 booster packs for a Standard set?

Listen, wonder if we can get WotC to send over some of the Star Trek cards over the boys at Red Letter Media and I just want to hear Mike and Rich talk about lore while looking at the cards. They don’t need to play, just want more Star Trek content from them (I know ST, not watched all episodes).

Would be fun to watch sets on a plane as the restrictions of a Commander format. Obviously Dominaria would rule but I bet Ravnica and Zendikar would be good.
