a diva, a philanthropist, a champion of literacy, and by all accounts one of the best southern ladies to ever do it. the world is a little less brighter today. RIP, angel 🦋💖
love to receive a text about "a real opportunity" from a random number the same week i have a job interview that turns out to be a scam. just love it, love it, love it!!
the pain of being a nightcrawler fan after the X-MEN '97 finale.................
People viewing everyone in bad faith has created a lot of our loneliness problems
A lot of people being cruel and stupid online has taught us to assume every stranger is cruel and stupid and hate strangers preemptively, and that really makes it feel like the cruel and stupid people won.
really loving the whole album but this song especially (to no one's surprise) music.apple.com/us/album/bob...

i had a blast going long on crash, cronenberg, and championing the grotesque. thanks, @mattzollerseitz.bsky.social for your support on this one!
“In a world where governments are actively policing trans people and their bodies, where sex on screen is seen as something vulgar and unnecessary, where people with uteruses are robbed of their choice to be pregnant or not, [CRASH] feels not only relevant but necessary,” writes @mtzxale.bsky.social

back home and feeling grateful for physical film, a medium that is so beautiful because of its ephemeral nature. also, the hades sequence was undeniably one of the sickest things i've seen on screen all year (complimentary) 🙂↕️ boxd.it/ftSxUP

was genuinely moved by the cronenberg x charli collab. there's some strange comfort in facing oblivion not as an enemy, but an inevitability we all must face. grateful for art that can make me appreciate the small, precious time we get here 🖤
really enjoyed TONY, a film that knows better than to sink into the saccharine. the result is something that feels more complex, bittersweet, and real. dominic sessa is a reliably great anchor, but leo woodall, and antonio banderas deliver something essential.
it's impossible to imagine most of my favorite movies without sam neill. he could be it all, and do it with relish. thanks for everything, sam 💔

full thoughts coming soon, but while i respect and appreciate that EVIL DEAD BURNS never slows down while leaning into all the nasty bloodiness we've come to expect from the franchise, something was still missing for me!
