It seems like the primary target of this legislation is Muslims, which makes it both racist and sexist - it's Muslim women who are losing their jobs over this. I can't read this as anything other than rank discrimination.

So, this is actually a misdirected pile-on. It's a fair question with a bunch of nuance, especially considering many space capsules (thinking of Russian ones at the moment, but I'm sure there are more) do actually land on land.

David Hogg has written a white paper on doing astrophysics in the age of LLMs. It looks to be thought-provoking. My initial reaction is that either LLMs will destroy the field or they will force a reckoning with and re-imagining of the current system that often prioritizes output over quality. 🧪
