My latest: the Green Lantern! This one was salvaged from a previously dropped effort. The right work wasn’t put in at the beginning, so the result lacks specificity and clear vision. But it’s me trying to play with just pure color rather than line work + color.

A lot of people have a big problem with this story. The idea is that Galactus lacks moral agency, and has to do what he does, cannot be held accountable, and neither can Reed Richards, and with the arrival of Eternity, The Universe Says So. The deus ex universe resolves all controversy.

Comic writer/artist John Byrne is abducted by The Watcher and is taken into deep space to officially record the trial of Reed Richards. Now Byrne stands witness as The Watcher tries to defend Mr. Fantastic from certain death at the hands of the Shi’ar Empire for saving the life of Galactus.

Reed Richards stands shackled and chained in front of an alien court accused of being an accessory to the genocide of a star system.

Twelve years ago, jagoffs pretended to care about "ethics in video game journalism" and other jagoffs pretended to believe them. It worked so they didn't stop. We're tired of this game now, right? It's boring. It's insulting. From now on we go "lol no fuck off."

Today let's all, as a species, agree to stop pretending to believe that right-wing trolls and fascists are arguing in good faith. This will fix at least 50% of all problems immediately. Thank you!

Found out last night that they made a sequel to the most gut churning Law and Order episode ever (the “Lisa Steinberg” one), and watched it… I’ve never been happier that a fictional character got run over.

I feel like this might have been out of pocket. But I don’t care. I’m tired of people demanding their community be frozen in amber to sustain their fetish for Life The Way It Used To Be. I used to be 25. That’s not coming back either.

San Jose's plan to increase city-wide housing density from 8 to 32 units per acre (not including ADUs/JADU) is on the August 18 city council agenda as Item 10.3.
The proposal will allow apartment houses 3-stories tall
—with zero parking—to be built on any residential lot in San Jose. All public hearings for neighborhood feedback would be eliminated and this would impact every neighborhood and every street.
Under Sate law SB330, if city council approves this density increase, we can never go back. This City of San Jose proposal passed by Planning Commission 9-2 on June 24 is not required by state law and is discretionary meaning not required.
Aug 18 city council afternoon meeting is the public's last chance to provide feedback prior to city councilRobby Perez
The council is pretty much communist! So good luck

To all reading this... protect your neighborhood character as it is. Because of the city changes already made, they are building a second story in our neighborhood with no input!! The other neighbors next door to it will have no privacy, as they are also building outward.

So they're gonna turn San Jose into even more of a cesspool

This is the fault of everyone who spent the last fifty years trying to freeze San Jose neighborhoods in amber. Like it or not, demand to live in San Jose increases, and supply has not increased. Land grows ever more expensive. As this goes on, the price to purchase land - not to mention the actual construction - becomes such that for the developers, projects of a smaller size become economically untenable. The pressure has been building for so long that the release will now be a dam bursting, rather than a leak easily managed through gradual effort. The intransigence of single-family addicts and degrowth activism is the reason for these issues. Oh, and Prop 13. I will be taking no questions at this

I watched two Marvel films in the past 24 hours - FANTASTIC FOUR needs to come with an “infant in peril” warning label, but was actually quite decent, while SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY is peak, actually right below the first two Raimi films as far as quality. Just a good film all around.

Anyway, the thing to remember about Riley Gaines is that competing against a trans swimmer was the best thing that ever happened to her. If she'd just finished fifth on her own, she'd have been immediately forgotten forever. But *tying* for fifth because of a trans competitor? CHA-CHING, baby!

Hit the local shop in Sunnyvale today and picked up some tight purchases including one S-tier item and OHOTMU 1-16 for a good price

It's weird, when you look back on the coverage of Jackie Robinson integrating Major League Baseball, there weren't a lot of these sympathetic pieces about the fans practicing their rights of freedom of speech by screaming the N-word at him. Progress!

Speaking for the first time since ralliers began assembling in support of her stance against transgender participation in women’s sports, Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham said this was an opportunity for the WNBA to uphold its values of diversity and inclusion. nyti.ms/4fHr4Qn

I ended up going “Computer, erase that entire personal log” when commenting on this episode because no one wants to hear a multi-post meditation on “portrayal of misogyny does not necessarily constitute actual misogyny” about a weirdo Born Sexy Everyday episode of TNG.

Watching a random Star Trek TNG last night and my wife says “oh she’s a Dax” and I’ve never been more proud (even though I did explain that it wasn’t true)
