Anyone know of a good tool to encrypt data and store on flash drives? I wrote a simple tool that works the way I want it to, but curious what else is out there (beyond the obvious web search).

Massive protest at Children’s National in DC. A former patient is speaking who they used in promotional to show how much they care about trans kids. Now the hospital is one of a small few nationwide complying with trumps unlawful EO to end trans care.

On day one Trump's EO said we were harmful to kids. On day two, it said we were dishonorable and disloyal. On day three, it said we were unAmerican. Transgender people have been a part of this country for centuries. We are not going anywhere. Do not comply with these EOs, they are not law.

PHP was my first server side language. I used it to build sites for local small businesses in town. I used it to build video streaming software before YouTube. I used it to customize drupal and Wordpress for clients. I used it to build my first start up. I was frequently criticized for it.

This is a really excellent piece about exclusion in tech, specifically of women and "lesser" engineers in software I think about it often. I'm thinking about it right now in the context of politics, and it applies powerfully. Makes me want to write about it. A recommended read for anyone

I've been building an MVP these last few days and finally dug into some of the provided CSS... did y'all know "prefers-color-scheme: light/dark" is a @media query!?!?! Every time I sit down to do something on the front-end, I'm blown away by the number of "built-in" things today.

please tell your students they belong, that they are valued, that they matter, that they are indispensable to your school. we shouldn't have to say it to them because someone's telling them differently, but they should hear it from us.
