The bird grips a large reddish earthworm in its slender bill, likely carrying food back to a nest or recently fledged young. Its alert dark eye and slightly raised crown feathers give it an attentive expression, while the soft, blurred backdrop draws full attention to the delicate plumage and the vivid contrast of the red worm against the bird’s pale face.
