The worst part about writing lore content for Destiny right now is something I've brought up a few times... Each entry is necessary and it's important to get it right. I just hate it because every time it feels like I'm writing a Eulogy. Bael, Savathun, Xivu, Maya, Mara, Osiris, Saint... It hurts.

Bungie is laying off a significant number of people today. Exact number isn't clear yet, but employees are being informed this morning.

I can't help but smile a little bit at the almighty stink being kicked up by the Destiny Community on Twitch. It isn't a perfect community. There is no such thing. But every once in a while you see this greater whole emerge. Nice to know that it's still there.

Does anyone else think it’s crazy that there's this world of lore, that millions of people fell in love with, and characters in it like Osiris, Saint-14, Eris, the Drifter, Savathun, Xivu Arath… …and somehow that world was mishandled by executives in a way that made the game shut down?

Every release the narrative team hosts The Endies, a little ceremony where we celebrate our work and each other. Usually we give a custom like trophy for each ND, but this time we did something special, and everyone got their own Ghost I love us, I love this team, I love what we made together. 💠💙
