Yes, but tell me again that covid is over..... The ppl in & around my life insist it's over because "no one they know has it". They are so shortsighted & self centered, and I want to just scream!

A COVID-19 Heat Map of the United States dated August 31, 2026, based on the Pandemic Mitigation Collaborative (PMC) model using CDC wastewater data. The map color-codes states and territories by standard CDC relative levels of viral activity. The categories are: Very Low (light blue, prevalence under 0.9%), Low (green, 1.2%), Moderate (yellow, 2.0%), High (orange/red, 2.9%), and Very High (magenta/pink, over 3.5%). A large cluster of dark pink, magenta, and red covers the entire southern border from California through Texas, stretching up into Missouri and across the southeastern states like Florida and Georgia. Parts of the Northwest, Northeast, Alaska, and Hawaii also show high or very high levels. The text below states that at least 29 states or territories are experiencing COVID outbreaks, specifically listing Hawai'i, Alaska, Washington, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Guam, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Maine.

Feeling so raw over Dolly's death. I saw many flags at half staff in her honor on the drive to work, & started crying. Got to the shop, saw what I thought was a roach, stomped on it only to realize it was a baby gecko & nearly lost it again.💔😭 I'm almost as raw as when my mom died.
