New York City Deputy Mayor Castiel Novak has big political aspirations and a scandalous past that Mayor Dick Roman and Police Commissioner John Winchester are eager to expose. Castiel is still doing everything he can to keep it together and do what's right for the city, when a chance meeting with John's son, homicide detective Dean Winchester, leads to an all-night rendezvous in a rundown motel.
It's supposed to just be some one-night stand, but by morning, Dean becomes Castiel's alibi for the brutal murder of Mayor Roman, and the head of an investigation that grips the city.
While Dean desperately searches for Mayor Roman's killer, Castiel tries to be the leader the city needs, with a cloud of suspicion hanging over him, and Commissioner Winchester launching a campaign against him for the mayor's office.
And in the forgotten motels and shadows of the city, Dean and Castiel find each other night after night, until their secret becomes a headline

#queerwriters Hehe, I get to share a line I actually really love from the newest chapter/episode (33) of my Destiel fic #SPNLove that I posted today! :D

The only way for Dean to get even closer, is to turn his upper body fully towards Cas and lean in so close that their bodies are not just pressed against each other anymore, but Dean is practically draping himself over Cas, being all up in his personal space like there truly is nothing separating them anymore, not even air. So that’s exactly what he does. He gets so close that it’s almost like he wants to shield Cas from something. It’s a level of physical closeness that definitely is a bit inappropriate for being out in public. This is not just PDA anymore, this is a public display of possessiveness and arousal, much more intense than just some sweet affection, much hotter than just a warm embrace.
