We were at Otakon the day the last HP book came out. I even bought mine at the B&N in Baltimore. Literally everybody was reading that book on the train home. I was spoiled on Hedwig dying because a mom read that part to her kids just as I passed by her on the way to my seat.

They're looking for the camaraderie and social phenomenon that Harry Potter was in the 2000s.
I haven’t played Deltarune but I recently found out about Noelle and the “flower” scene and OH MAN I’m sure discourse was totally normal over all that!

It’s weird that we’ve spent all this time explaining why the game “crash” of ‘84 was more complicated than an actual crash-out (which is true) but when we talk about current woes we’re all still “CRASH CRASH CRASHETY-CRASH” even tho the industry is *much* more complicated today than it was in ‘84.

It sucks how terrifying that is and how widespread this kind of pattern is now.
I was thinking about this post and realized the protagonists of both Hamlet and Mega Man X4 also have encounters with the ghosts of their fathers, lmaooooo

Saw footage of a flooded TTC bus and the guy taking the video said it reminded him of being back home in Manila. There’s definitely a more tropical feel to our summer storms nowadays — we had another massive flood event, what, two or three summers ago? And this one was far worse.
