Most art isn’t there to hold its audience’s hand and walk them to enlightenment. If you watch Fight Club and come away adoring Tyler Durden, the movie has made its point just the same, but it’s made its point about you rather than to you

“Content” is a corpo-brain term, makes me cringe when I hear it in the wild. You don’t make “content”, you make ART! You write STORIES. Its your WORK (and often play too)! “Content” is the noise you flick through when trying to find a SHOW you like, don’t cheapen your work comparing it to SLOP. 😤

"Content" is a blatantly misleading term to use for fanworks. Fanworks are the antithesis of content; content is produced for individual gain and consuming, whereas fanworks are created out of inspiration and the communal experience.

as an artist you SHOULD: use the word commission post links use hashtags talk about your original projects post often, or not! use alt text, ideally always but at least often block shit you don’t wanna see and leave those people alone you should NOT: be a bigot our rules are pretty chill here!

It's kinda heartbreaking to see so many artists being like "can I post about OCs and not just fanart?", "can I talk about other stuff?", "can I post often?" because the other hellsite literally punished you for doing...normal things you do as an artist - as a person, even.
