“Heaven Has No Room For Angels” #yuri #wip update, god I hate lettering. I swapped the earrings on Anri and Rindou, as Anri’s clothing style incorporated more triangle patterns, and Rin’s style is a bit more rounded. Also designing a gilded futuristic pen-drive is not easy, but what’ll it store…? 🤔

Cover idea for a future Zine, to tell the story of tragic lovers Isolde, Anri, and the deal they shook with Doctor Rindou, at the behest of Oda. Centered is Isolde, her eyes are closed as if in deep sleep, and her body is bare albeit nondescript, to the left is Isolde’s wife Anri, who is crying, to her right is Doctor Rindou, looking deeply conflicted, a photograph of her lost love, Olga falls from her person, behind them all looms Oda, and beneath various cybernetic arms reach up for Isolde. Wip, working out the title, I like the letter height and width, maybe just need to adjust the kerning (space between the words)? I like how oppressive it feels, as its meant to be a horrifying declaration about The Greatest (and soon to be Last) Megacity.

SCREEN Act, which would have required mandatory age-verification for sites (like this) that allow "material harmful to minors" failed to pass out of committee after thousands and thousands of people called their Senators. More work ahead!

The SCREEN Act just failed to pass in the Senate Commerce Committee! 🎉 Enormous thanks to the thousands (!!) of you who told your Senators to vote no! Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.

“See Зайка? There ARE Rabbits on the Moon!” Very rough doodle, of a photo Doc Rindou keeps on her desk, of happier times. (More details in Alt-Text) (Зайка (Bunny) works as a nickname for a lover, right? Here it works as a funny double meaning, but does it work as a nickname? 😅)

A very rough sketch, of a photograph Doctor Rindou keeps on her desk, she is standing on the Moon (indoors obviously), the Earth behind her, and beside her her late lover Olga (a third generation Lunar colonist), whom she was meeting for the first time after a lengthly long-distance relationship, Olga gestures behind Rin, giving the impression of her having Rabbit ears. She laughs: “See Зайка? There ARE Rabbits on The Moon!” ~referencing Earthen folklore. Both are very happy. Olga is noticeably taller than average (Earthborn) humans, at 7.4’, though she is considered rather short by Lunan standards.

Another rough doodle. Doctor Rindou, a brilliant mind that pioneered Oda CEC’s Cybernetic technology, that drove the world into its golden age. In truth however she was plagued by doubt as Oda’s will pushed her to cross more and more ethical boundaries for his goal of perfect, immortal cybernetics.

Rough sketch of the brilliant Doctor Rindou, a short, bespectacled woman wearing a futuristic corporate/sciencey type outfit, her hair is tied back, the futuristic hair tie she uses resembles a halo. Rindou is standing in the shadow of Oda, “The Man Who Bought The World”, an old, decrepit cyborg, he has long hair, a wrinkled face, and a beard, his body is covered with tubes, extending his already unnatural life, and behind his head a halo, though it’s shape is far more aggressive than Rin’s. In Oda’s hand is the World, symbolic of, well, him owning the World. 😅

okay but, this is the way we fight AI in everyday life we need to foster an atmosphere of disgust and repulsion of AI, like AI is like seeing a roach in a google review. Get up and leave the restaurant. "um, I just saw some AI stuff, I just... I dunno, it's gross haha. I'm good. thanks. Thank you"

one thing I miss from the pre-genAI days is that there was no questioning that human nonsense was simply human nonsense. a dog piloting a plane? some silly human toiled over that in photoshop. now, when something is nonsensical, we question if it’s ai and don’t get to enjoy it the same way.

Personally I like detailed dezign and how much you can do with them, lately I'm trying put more details into my designs so they will be interesting to look at, like a pattern for example But I have no idea how to make them look better and that's the best I've done so far 😭
