gonna be honest with myself: my main beef w/ the avatar characters in fe awakening, fates, and 3 houses is that their default looks are all ugly as hell (corrin has cute hair but his/her outfit is terrible thus still counts). that and their horseshit personalities. but mainly their looks.

i dont like avatars or self inserts in fe because its a game where i want the writers to actually commit to the characters in the story and have convictions about them rather than Arent You The Specialest Player In The Whole Wide World

ahaha my friend found a bookmark i made for her over 10 years ago. i drew the pug in colored pencil, cut it out, and glued it to a piece of origami that i wrapped around some cardstock backing

in other words: if you know you're an emotional person, then you make an active engagement with logic to sort out those emotions. but if you think of yourself as a logical person, you naturally think all your emotions are just logical conclusions, so you don't question or challenge yourself.

this story got me bc a similar thing happened when i was 3 and hurricane andrew destroyed our house. i have a few strong memories of that time and one of them is of a little plush purple bunny i carried around everywhere. we lost her at a hotel we stayed at while our house was being rebuilt-

its funny to think i only started playing fire emblem on a whim to irritate my older brother by beating it before he did and i went on to beat the game 500 more times and make it 75% of my total lifelong identity

I don't say this often enough just cuz I only dabble occasionally but I think if you buy children's toys and/or card games for speculative capital, I think you should be fed into a wood chipper

eating a campbells soup bowl which always reminds me of the time my family was homeless while i was in college and i could rarely afford to eat anything not garbage. one time i saved a campbells soup can to celebrate finals ending and i was like "oh god yes my first real food in WEEKS" and then-
