When I say that you have to be leery of who critiques your art, your life will depend on it. The wrong person giving you critique will have you fighting with your own creativity, leaving you mentally unwell. Especially if you don't have enough people around you encouraging your art

the thing that gets me is i've had this weird gotcha shit pulled on me not just by people in favor but also by *people who literally agree with me about disliking it* because conflating being pedantic for the sake of it with intelligence is like crack for some people so i just say genAI to dodge it
