I had the good fortune to meet Susannah Wright when I spoke at the classics department at Harvard a few years back, and I was able to read this before publication. A stunning, highly accessible text!

Im usually not a fan of big fantasy climax battles, but pirates 3 is absolutely my favorite among them. Spontaneously deciding "fuck, we might die, lets get wed mid combat" always makes me cheer, laugh and tear up at the same time
