I read a book once. It was fine. he/him | millenial | nws

There is something ugly happening in the trading card world. I remember being a kid and we played the game and we traded cards to make our decks or to collect them all. From the outside in, this modern tcg looks more like gambling for kids. Selling $5 packs for $20 in the hope you pull a $5k card.

Idk, I feel like I'm becoming a race reductionist. Capitalism gets away with a lot because working class whites feel comfort in austerity by the knowledge that they are still on the side of power in their whiteness. Like MAGA will celebrate getting kicked off healthcare bc 'Trump is winning.'

I struggle so much w/ the narcissism of Christianity. The idea if something GOOD happens to you, it’s b/c you individually deserve it, and if something BAD happens to you, you must have individually caused it. The systemic oppression people face has been removed from the faith’s mainstream teachings

I wish we used language more. Or maybe that I had a better vocabulary. Like there should be a worth more general than zionism. Zionism being a belief in the necessity for a homeland for people of Jewish ethnicity. There should be a worth specifically for a belief in ethnic homelands.

I am not a socialist. I am not truly an anti-capitalist. I have a critique of capitalism but I'm more anti-objectivist. I am certainly more aligned with socialists than even social democrats. My point is that I spend no time arguing with socialists on why I don't support true socialism for a reason

Caitlyn Clark, James Talarico, and the villainization of the Black Woman: Caitlyn Clark and James Talarico only needed to exist and be white in the proximity of Black women for their privilege and pedestal to take form. They won't hear me though.

I work at a data center so obvious bias but I think there is something lost in the "data centers are evil" simplification. We're not getting rid of the internet. The problem is that they are profit motivated for a small group of people. But they can obviously be done ethically.

AI and data centers are really perfect for the argument of community ownership and profit sharing. Like there is an underlying algorithm and something to do with matrixes that no one believes Elon Musk or Sam Altman understands. But the rest of it is land, everyone's IP, water, communal property.

Having a son is terrifying cause you can do everything in your power to raise them right—good schools, good influences, extracurriculars, etc.—and it doesn’t matter cause we live in a patriarchal hellhole that will encourage them to hate women & YOU by extension

White leftists believe that intellectually knowing racism is bad means they can't be racist. They will intellectually admit America(the west) is racist and systemic racism is a historical and modern issue. But they refuse to examine how that is the context in which their worldview formed.

White people have this belief that identifying that racism is bad innoculates them. White people on the left believe that identifying racism is bad AND still exists as a systemic issue innoculates them.

Does Iran have a right to exist as an Islamic State? Does Cuba have a right to use its resources for the safety and prosperity of its people? Does Venezuela have a right to choose its leadership?

Israel has killed more American service members and civilians than Iran. Israel has sank more American ships than Iran. Israel has had more spies uncovered than Iran. Israel has threatened to nuke America more often than Iran. Israel has cost the US tax payer more than Iran.

If Trump proves American hard power is more of an illusion and it's soft power is specious and unreliable, that might have the greatest positive impact on the world from an American president this century.
