A fic excerpt written for octopath's 8th anniversary anthology! It depicts a portion of Osvald's notebook entry during his years in prison. It reads:

Day X, Year XXX3

I try not to move my face. The metal pinches. Blood drips. I may be silenced, but I am not defeated.

My “reputation” precedes me. One man called me a murderer and dared to strike me. He learned his lesson the hard way.

So did I. The club is a cruel companion."
