One more day until Octopath Traveler's 8th anniversary and one more day until the @8isforoctopath.bsky.social zine comes out! Here's a preview for my piece centered around Osvald and his daughter.

Elena looked at him pleadingly, a stare reminiscent of her younger self begging for another bedtime story. And though Osvlad had multiple objections in mind, all of them died on his tongue.
The look was more potent than Agnea's entreatment and Ochette's puppy-like eyes combined, he though wearily, and he was out of practice resisting it.
"Fine," he said, and if Elena's beaming face were magic, it would light up the room.
