What I can recommend, is if anyone has preconceived notions on those who have Cluster B disorders, is to visit subreddits like r/NPD and r/ASPD You quickly realize they’re just *people*. And like nearly everyone else, they’re trying so hard just to be good ppl because they don’t want to be monsters

Look, what I'm trying to say is, if you're an artist, STOP LOOKING DOWN ON YOUR PEERS!!! We're all fucking art nerds. If you make art, I love you. Please, we gotta join hands and go smash the data centres and lift each other up out of the slop-ocalypse. We can fight as a family more later.
To recap, I got good at art because I was an obsessive nerdy kid (still am) who drew my fav cartoon characters, and was encouraged by my creative elders to keep going. Fanart is made by artists, and creative sparks should be nurtured. This is my hill. And you can burry me on it.
there are so many reasons for people to not pick up the pencil right now and to give up on making art. So if a desire to draw Garfield smoking a blunt, or the need for nsfw old man yaoi, is what made someone lift their pen today, that's GOOD.
my creds/brags: i make my living as a full time artist in animation. i am a designer on a globally known ip. i've done work for a game studio that made my favourite childhood game (the money from which i used to buy my first motorbike, a literal dream come true on multiple levels).
there is a whiff of "fanartists are lesser artists" in the air tonight, so let me be so fucking for real about it and explain why this isn't true and makes me mad.
