A friend excitedly telling me how he gets 2-3 page summaries from every meeting via #AI. Never reads them, but nice to have. That’s 20 pages a day that the agent can reference anytime Is he: 1. Initiating his own mental rot? 2. Using AI insufficiently (agent should be following up automatically)?
Anthropic and OpenAi attempting to “own” #AI reminds me of AOL in the 1990s. Believe it or not, people actually built their entire online existence on AOL. Until the OPEN internet showed the way forward. Am expecting early leaders to go the way of AOL. Which bodes rather poorly for equity markets

Rode a driverless autonomous bus on London's roads in live traffic. Worked great. Main issue was it actually followed the Highway Code which is a challenge when you're competing for road space with south west London's SUV drivers. www.londoncentric.media/p/londons-fi...

We test people on national driving laws - and many fail. We stop for pedestrians, we signal, we don’t turn on a red light, we have complex cities. It’s a bit insane then that someone from abroad (say… the US) can come along with a $35 crackerjack #driving license, and can rent a car and go crazy.
Let’s celebrate the UK’s education system. It’s one of our finest products (and exports). The US, Israel and other nations lag dramatically, with up to one out of five students lacking the numeracy and literacy skills of a ten-year-old. Source: The Economist
