TPS for Haitians expired yesterday. Community members, business owners, and families— all are now at risk of deportation back to a county deemed “too dangerous to visit” by the U.S. government. The ending of this program is cruel and baseless; TPS protection must be reinstated.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is good. I refuse to use the acronym. In this case, we are talking about transportation. Having diverse methods of travel should be the norm. We should not be forced to use a vehicle for everything. Traffic sucks because we are clogging the roads.

The U.S. government requires visa applicants to make all of their social media accounts fully public or risk being denied entry. This is straight out of 1984. Your right to privacy doesn’t just disappear at the border for millions of people, it disappears before they ever set foot here.
I was so proud to see the names of registered voters in my family during Reconstruction, then to see what happened to them when we were deserted by the federal government. I remember my father telling me about how he prepared for poll tests. Our votes are power; that is why they try to steal them.

Today a small business owner called my worker in tears. I over heard her describe how a man saw her pride flag and "no ice" sign and decided to intimidate her. He walked inside in plain clothing and told her that he was an ICE agent and those illigals had no right to be here.

It’s amazing how quickly Black women have been targeted by these laws and doubly so how little this factors into the analysis around the sexual and gender politics of this movement.
Solomon@solomonrmissouri.com · 5mo agoI'm so sick of hearing that people are not going to give up their cars so we dont need infrastructure for other modes of transit. My kid has low vision and isn't going to be driving anywhere and will still need to get to work, school, stores, home...
The streets in our Massachusetts suburb are too old and narrow to accommodate bike infrastructure...meanwhile, in France...
I remember asking a childhood history teacher what would happen if the system of checks and balances failed...

Alex Jeffrey Pretti was an ICU nurse at a VA hospital. His life, through his profession, was dedicated to serving his community and our country. As so many have now seen on video, his final act before he was killed by federal agents was doing everything in his power to protect his community.
