Hundreds of people demonstrated in Madison, Wisconsin, on Wednesday night following the police killing of a Black man in a popular commercial and residential area. At least four police officers tackled Ruiz to the ground. Shortly after, another officer stands up and shoots Ruiz from above 3 times.

Not only is this kind of rhetoric not shunned by other Democrats, it’s embraced. Stevens is the establishment pick just as Cuomo was. There’s a bipartisan consensus on leaning into Islamophobia. Our community gets scapegoated regardless of what happens, while they never self-reflect on this racism.

Rep. Jamie Raskin has launched an investigation into dealings between Trump and FIFA, demanding that FIFA turn over any relevant documents, including visitor logs for FIFA’s office in New York’s Trump Tower. Raskin also demanded that Gianni Infantino sit for an interview with members of Congress.

In FIFA each federation has one vote. Most are poor, for structural reasons compounded by mismanagement. A cash infusion means a small windfall for each federation, which most will happily take. Meanwhile the investors plunder until there's nothing recognizable left of the game/culture, then exit.
