So. 20mm sterling silver pendant based on a photograph of the moon I took. I think this works okay. Will have to crunch numbers, but thinking with chain and jump ring, this could go for $75-80. Plus shipping. Engravable on the back for an additional fee. Thoughts?

I love wasting $200 in material trying to test something that will wind up selling for $60 a pop and I'm liable to only sell 1 or 2. I am the awesomest business person.
I just read that Phil Tippet's Berkeley studio is closing after 40 years (bankruptcy). Heartbreaking. He did the miniatures and effects on SO MANY movies I've loved over the years. An absolute master of his craft. ALWAYS wanted to see his studio and imagined the sorts of wonders going on inside. 🙁
Pet peeve of mine: gem dealers that sell gems in ct weights. I know this is pretty much industry standard (and has been for more than 100 years), but god is it frustrating given the different densities of gems. Want a 4mm sapphire? Completely different carat weight from a 4mm diamond.
Hey, mom. What's in the bowl? (tomatoes and basil from the garden, some goat's cheese, and balsamic).
These two sweet babies, who recently lost their human, really need a safe place to land. NYC / NE US #CatSky
Y'all. I know you're tired of my running on about this, and I *want* to give you a break over the weekend, but I CAN'T fail these cats. They need a HOME. They're affectionate, relaxed and in decent health, and their issues are MINOR and EASILY MANAGEABLE. All we need is to find That Person.
10 years ago today, I conned the most brilliant and beautiful woman I'd ever met into saying yes, and, get this, she STILL has not caught onto the con.

There's this persistent thread I see around on social media that companies passed on tariff costs to customers and then got refunds and made all that extra money. And it's a nice tale. But we spent thousands and thousands in tariffs (and almost as much in fees), and have NOT received a refund.
Starlet watching the rain. The downstairs kittens are the only ones who are NOT afraid of storms. I don't know if they didn't experience many of them while they were outside or what. Everyone else is terrified and clusters on the stairs to hide from the rain. But the little kids are curious.
We signed up for the Yayoi Kusama museum exhibit, calculating that I'd have had a good time to heal from upcoming surgery. Unfortunately, the DAY BEFORE surgery, my surgeon called it off because he was afraid I was going to sue him for malpractice. That should have been a red flag.
I'll start, I'm a hobbyist 3D artist working in Blender. I'm still learning and discovering my own style, in the future I want to either focus on game-ready 3d models or surrealistic landscapes. Recently I also started learning pixel art

On this day in 1920, Atlanta's Mayor Key called in the Atlanta paper for a celebration to commemorate the victory of women's suffrage (ratification of the 19th Amendment). The official national celebration is the 26th (and ratification on the 18th), but news moved a bit slower back then.
AGTA (American Gem Trade Association) has updated their code of ethics for retailers dictating that the term 'lab grown' should not be used to describe man-made gems. The proper term, 'synthetic' is now required.
AGTA Now Requiring Members to Call Lab-Grown Gems ‘Synthetic’
The association added the requirement to its revised "Code of Ethics" and released the 17th edition of its “Gemstone Information Manual.”

You know those triangles that are like, "Fast -> Cheap -> Good" and you're supposed to be only able to pick two? Well. I feel like auto-mechanics have the same triangle. Except you're only allowed to hope for, at the very most, one corner. And you're liable not to get it anyway.
There's a pretty white dog in the neighbourhood I see many mornings. Her name is Eleven. I know this because the woman walking her says it a zillion times. "Come on, 11!" "No, this way 11!" This morning, I asked if she had super powers? "Huh? Ooooh... the dog? Sorry. I've never seen the show." 🫤
This is really sad. In the last 10 years, people running their on mail servers dropped from 45% to 22%, abdicating ALL their data and communications to Google and Microsoft. No wonder they feel like they can do anything they want with everyone's information. Everyone keeps letting them.
I just watched The Last Witch Hunter (2015). And I'm pretty sure this is what happens when you order The Witcher from Temu. Lord that was haphazardly inscrutable and awful. Filled with throwaway lines that had no meaning but clearly someone just thought were cool to say out loud. Awful.

My wife wear-testing the Tempest necklace yesterday. I think this will make the catalogue for end of year.
