In the UK we have just seen extreme heat at the end of May with temperatures reaching 35°C for the first time, more than 2°C higher than previous highs. In theory the point the sun is highest in the sky should be at noon (12 pm). However due to daylight saving and countries like China with only one time zone noon can actually be as late as 3pm. This #dataviz shows the sun's highest point in the day as the year progresses.
