The main differences from their core designs are Kenji's hair being slightly softer, a tad longer around her ears, and Makoto's hair being long enough to be tied in two low ponytails that fall over her shoulders. Both are laying down in bed. Makoto is propped up on some pillows while Kenji is lounging on her stomach, a blanket over her shoulders. One set of their hands are clasped. Kenji's other arm is under her chin. Makoto's free hand is either brushing or poking Kenji's cheek. Both are smiling, Kenji with her mouth open and Makoto with her mouth closed.

The background consists of half an empty bed -- presumably Kenji's half -- and a large half open window showing the night sky. A full moon is mostly visible, it light shining on the characters. A sheer white curtain is tied to the side of the window or is being moved by a breeze. The entire piece is tinged blue.

Makoto is wearing a black longsleeve resembling the one Kenji wears in canon. Kenji is wearing a black tanktop. Both have marks in their ears from piercings not currently worn.
