Honestly never occurred to me that people might not find John Goodman hot. In my childhood friend group it was known. We were probably too young to be finding him hot, but Dan Conner set the bar 🤷
A few years ago, I was trying to explain to my sister why John Goodman is hot and she told me she didn’t get it, but then her eyes widened and she said “Wait, did he play Pacha in The Emperor‘s New Groove?” And I said yes, and a look of realization and awe came over her face. She got it.

I don’t know what the other lakes are like, but the lifeguards at this beach are so sweet with the preschoolers 😭 The free swimming lessons in this city are excellent.

We just spent a week in the Kejimkujik backcountry and saw some of the effects of budget cuts first-hand. Firewood no longer provided, so campers are damaging the forest by scavenging. Garbage left at campsites now that enforcement from wardens is gone. (1/2)

We even arrived at one campsite to find material still burning in a fire pit from the previous occupants, probably for hours. I’m worried that our beloved Keji will be devastated by a wildfire some time soon, facilitated by underfunding and understaffing.
