My Nerd Cave sign is coming out better than I thought it was going to be. Couldn’t find anything I liked online so I did it myself. Touchups, evening and perfecting the edges, and the black edge band will be done tomorrow.

Any artist friends need for inspiration for alien parasites lol? Look no further than saddleback caterpillars. These have horns and hairs that secret an irritating venom. Using gloves and a paintbrush I carefully removed them from my Meyer lemon and put them in the underbrush of the woods.
So damn…the big floater my eye doctor warned me a couple months ago was coming finally happened. Now I keep thinking I’m seeing demons out of the corner of my eye.
Earlier this week, I walked out to my milkweed I planted last year and found a dozen late instar monarch caterpillars. So grateful the work of the past two years in the garden is starting to pay off. 🦋

Sad to see the Ides of March becoming commercialised like this. I really feel like we're losing track of the true spirit of the holiday. It's not about how many knives you can stick in a tyrant all at once, it's about the whole community coming together to stab the tyrant as many times as possible.
