Running, cycling, parkrun, active travel. Can often be persuaded to partake of chocolate.

#wednesdaymorningwander - Chatting to contractors repairing the King Street bridge at the Helpston/Maxey level crossing. We both agreed this lovely old bridge should be converted to a greenway, rather than left to rat-running drivers who will just bash it up again. We can but hope... 🙄

First physio session for my heel pain. In which we learn that having shockwave therapy for intersectional tendinitis (I.e the bit where it meets the bone) is a *whole lot* more painful than sectional tendinitis (just on the tendon itself). So that's good to know... 😭😭😭

Outside on the Rainbow Trail for our sports conditioning class this evening. About 30 minutes in when the *entire class* got totally distracted by a busy little mole burrowing in the outdoor gym paddock. Easily done when the alternative is more squats, to be honest... 😂

Managed to break my phone at the gym yesterday evening *sigh* 🙄 Luckily, we had a spare in our drawer of electronic tat, so I'm still able to function in modern society - but goodness, it's a faff getting everything set up just as you want! Right, now to tackle getting mine repaired... 😬 #eeek

Scaffolding up around our garage build while work continues, which meant it was a bit of a squeeze getting the e-bike out for my usual trip to pilates class. Worth the effort though - the ride back with a cooling breeze was just what was needed after a hot and sticky day! #ebikesrock

I'm not a dog type of person myself, but I'm always surprised that I don't see more people making use of the doggy e-bike accessories in order to do walkies by bike. Seems a no-brainer to me and the dogs seem to love it!

Just watched highlights of the final stage of the TdF. Oddly, not feeling as bereft as usual at this point. Ch5 coverage hasn't been great, but also (I think) it's not been a vintage Tour. Today's stage was a real nail-biter, but it's one of the few that has been. Fingers crossed for 2027!

After a brief experiment with letting my hair dry naturally, I've gone scurrying back to my hot brush. Honestly, if I'm ever stranded on a desert island, forget SOS and rescue fires, the first thing I'm doing is cutting all my hair off. The frizz would be just terrifying 😱😱😱

As the #TdF draws towards its final stages, we've been reflecting again on just how much we've missed the high-quality ITV4 coverage and amazing commentary team. TNT and Ch5 just not even close 😢. We've found an old episode from last year to get an Imlach-fix. We miss you, Gary!

My two favourite pix from this evening's run. The bustling Main Road in Etton, and a stark warning - although not entirely clear if it's a warning to, or a warning of...!

Our running club hosted the penultimate leg of the Peterborough 5k Grand Prix series this evening, so had to get my marshaling hat on. A turnout of over 450 runners kept us busy, and was also good news for son with #RocketVan coffee! Chippy tea definitely well-deserved! 😋😴 #lovevolunteering
