In particular, it was a new experience to present work not primarily to get people excited about the ideas in the work, but to raise questions like: can these ideas be tested? Does this approach to doing computational neuroscience make sense? etc. We should perhaps do more of this!

We assembled a sounds dataset we think is a real resource for the whole auditory cognition & neuroscience community. Curated from a huge pool of sounds, plus large-scale verbal-identification & familiarity-rating data → rich sound and behavioral norms. Preprint & dataset links below 🧵

🚨 New preprint! Impact of Task Similarity and Training Regimes on Cognitive Transfer and Interference 🧠 We compare humans and neural networks in a learning task, showing how training regime and task similarity interact to drive transfer or interference. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

Impact of Task Similarity and Training Regimes on Cognitive Transfer and Interference

Learning depends not only on the content of what we learn, but also on how we learn and on how experiences are structured over time. To investigate how task similarity and training regime interact dur...

📌 We lay the groundwork for a generative neurophenomenology: → integrating first-person experiential data (e.g. micro-phenomenology) at dyadic level → with third-person data at the interpersonal, physiological level → formalized with modern computational frameworks (2/3)

The moment we've all been waiting for— #CCN2025 is HERE! Today we start with satellite events, and tomorrow the main conference begins in Amsterdam! We'll be sharing daily updates about each day's program, so follow the CCN account to stay in the loop. Can't wait to see everyone!

Can LLMs be used to discover interpretable models of human and animal behavior?🤔 Turns out: yes! Thrilled to share our latest preprint where we used FunSearch to automatically discover symbolic cognitive models of behavior. 1/12
