I feel very fortunate to have secured funding, together with @carmenagustin.bsky.social, to support our research over the next three years. The project also includes an associated FPI PhD fellowship, which makes the news even more exciting. Looking forward to the work ahead! 🔬🧠

"Pubertal development and hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis are altered in male mice lacking Mecp2"

Check out this synopsis from Harry @yliu160.bsky.social on his new paper on the regulation of centriole architecture. And congratulations to Harry on starting his own lab @stonybrooku.bsky.social! You should work with Harry on all things centrosomal and ciliary!

Excited to share my postdoctoral work at @reitergroup.bsky.social, now published at @genesdev.bsky.social. The paper is Open Access and is available through the link below. Here is a quick thread highlighting what we found. 🧵👇 1/n

Our new paper is out in Journal of Comparative Neurology. We identify and characterize immature excitatory neurons in the paralaminar nuclei of the ferret amygdala, and compare their organization across species. Results suggest a conserved pattern of postnatal maturation. doi.org/10.1002/cne....

Immature Excitatory Neurons in the Postnatal Ferret Paralaminar Nuclei and Their Relationship to the Amygdala Across Species
