Paul Frazee@pfrazee.com · 4h agoMy impression is that AI coding is on a "pick two of three" triangle: scope, ship speed, and correctness. Small tools are (speed + correctness) fast prototypes are (speed + scope) and big projects are (scope + correctness). Every project that tries to be all three degrades to "fast prototype."
Politics is defining the enemy. Everything else that politics claims to deal with becomes something mundane — non political — in the absence of a quest for an enemy. Look at the contortions polities without natural predators in objective reality go to invent themselves some enemies.

This is amusing because NATO bought Palantir’s Maven system in 2025, and NATO’s transformation commander recently said there was no real European competitor. So Europe may now have a plausible substitute for parts of the intelligence-data stack, but not actually the full replacement.
