if you're one person making a comic by yourself, don't treat yourself like you should function on the same level as comics that have multiple people working on them. your backgrounds can be squiggles and colors. allow yourself room to be abstract with details and give yourself some grace

Some people really need to get more comfortable with the experience of being really excited about someone they met a month ago and then coming to the screeching realization that they suck. Haven't they ever tried online dating? It happens sometimes. You cut your losses and move on with life.
