We have had some lovely new plants delivered for the courtyard renovation our Green Health team is rolling out at the Craiglockhart Ward, Royal Edinburgh Hospital. These plants will help brighten up the area for patients and staff to enjoy.

Our #TonicArts Team recently installed some art at the Royal Infirmary’s Link Bridge. A large oil painting was selected by staff to be hung in this communal space utilised by NHS staff. This work by #SusanColes offers a moment of peace and reflection for those passing by. NHS Lothian

Our #TonicArts team have transformed the entrance at Mackinnon House in the Royal Edinburgh Hospital! The florals used in the vinyl wallpaper were created by the hospital community in Artlink workshops, led by Anne Eliott. Artist Natasha Russell then took the artworks and created this wallpaper.

The Biffa Garden Angels joined our RIE Nature Ranger Lou, weeding and planting a newly enhanced green space. This was a case of many hands make light work and we can't thank them enough for their help! Also how good do they look in our branded vests 😉 #GreenHealth

The Simpsons ward at St John's Hospital have with some new team members and they looking great in their charity branded baby grows! The Dolls and breasts help teach breastfeeding positions and hand expressing to parents/carers to use at home.

Our Nature Ranger Lou at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh has been busy teaching staff how to grow herbs and veg on their windowsills at home! On the growing agenda was basil, peas shoots followed by much laughter! We can't wait to hear how their plants are getting on!

Thanks to generous donors, research into early intervention for less survivable cancers is underway to help people maintain a better quality of life from diagnosis through treatment. A prehab clinic launched in May at the Western General Hospital is testing its impact, with 16 patients seen so far.

What better way to recharge during a busy working day than cooling off with a refreshing elderflower cordial in the RIE wellbeing courtyard. And with a bit of creativity, the extendable legs on Lou’s Ranger Activity Table double up perfectly as a pop‑up bar!
