Very fun experiment on a rainy day today. The neighborhood girls wondered if it would be possible to make a potato substitute somehow with the ingredients we had at hand. We ended up trying to make cauliflower croquettes, subbing boiled cauliflower for the potato. Verdict: unconvincing but tasty!

Ooh, Neuromancer movie? I'm down. I read it for the first time recently, but I maybe ought to read it again. I liked a lot about it but I found the writing style really difficult to digest. I think I read every paragraph twice, just trying to parse it out.

Normally I try to separate my personal and professional presence online, but I'm going to make an exception. My team is hiring! We are small and restricted to hiring Canadians (to adhere to grant requirements, among other things), but we need a Unity pro! www.workwithindies.com/careers/the-...

Ran my first game in a while tonight! All-Out Apocalypse for some friends / former colleagues. Tasked with securing the last known tub of Cookies and Cream from the Ben & Jerry's Flavour Experience, they led their refrigerated robot buddy Yeti into the strangely fortified ice cream lab.

Having shared the Deathbringer campaign, here is a critique. We can enjoy nostalgia without dismissing modern RPG fans. This offers valid food for thought regarding the game's promotion and creative details. https://magnoliakeep.blogspot.com/2026/07/the-thoughtlessness-of-deathbringers.html?m=1

TTRPG mechanic: When you roll up your character you get a d4, d6, d10, and d12. You assign one each to your hit die, your melee weapons, your ranged weapons, and your spell casting and you're stuck with that for the rest of the game. Levelling just unlocks new ways to use those dice.

Mockup of the books for Swords Without Master, featuring artwork by Elemei. Three rogues face a doorway into a cloud-filled world of mystery; they have traversed a dangerous pathway through ruins, their wake marked by the arrows and swords of defeated foes. The gateway contains architectural elements of eyes and reaching claws. Title logo in purple, arched letters hovers in the clouds above the rogues, awaiting them beyond the threshold.

What if there was a pool table roguelike where every ball had a different crazy ability? Well... 🔸It's real 🔸It's called Ultrapool 🔸AND WE'RE PUBLISHING IT
