🚨🚨 Abdul El Sayed wins the Democratic Senate primary in Michigan, NBC News projects. He defeats Haley Stevens.
Even though it ended up being a lot closer than expected, this is still a gigantic victory for the Progressive Wing of the Democratic Party. If El-Sayed can prevail in November it will be one of the biggest wins ever for the Bernie Wing of the party
And just in time, NBC News has called it for AES

If you're McMorrow, you must be pissed that the DSCC backed Stevens, thinking you would've been able to get it done. If you're Stevens, you must be pissed at McMorrow for not endorsing you. El-Sayed might win this with less than 50% of the vote

I personally need to be more skeptical of internal candidate/PAC polling. When I've passed on some, I always see it with a competitor, which isn't fun. But there was some polling that made it look like Stevens was down 15+ points that really bent coverage.
