There’s a lot of really interesting stuff in this essay, though I ultimately charitably disagree with the overall point. It does have me wondering, what exactly does “let children be children” mean? I think the answers that we give will show our personal parenting philosophies, for better or worse!

As a courtesy last night, I let my husband know that daylight savings was happening, thinking I was doing him a service. Apparently he thought that meant we gained an hour of sleep, so he stayed up until 12:30 am last night, and consequently woke up as the most hoodwinked man in existence.
The sunrise and sunset time is perfect in Indiana right now and for some reason the powers that be decided that perfect isn’t good enough and we have to wake up in the dark tomorrow instead 🤡
