The US has been at war or ready for big war during the last 85 years - longer than any other country in the world. Such military capability would take decades to match for even the most willing and capable world power. It's more likely for the US to lose this capability without anyone replacing it

Could another global power or set of powers step in here to do something? Sure. Will they? Pretty obviously no. Do you see a constituency in the EU to build a large navy to defend global shipping? I don't. And the PRC *really* does not give a s*** if other people live or die.

The problem is that as we're seeing with the Strait of Hormuz, "the USA forfeits its global ambitions" does not lead to a new age of peace and sunshine, but to global recession and instability. The Strait of Hormuz is not the only load-bearing instance of US power backstopping modern economies.

"Humanoid" is the biggest bullshit flag here. If you look at industrial robots you'll find no humanoid robots, because they are not efficient. Another example: we have self-driving taxis but we don't have a human-looking robot or even dummy in the driver's seat, because it would be pointless.
