Been a wobbly month but I've started the day with sausage, eggy bread and watching a Stewart Lee show and later I get to go to a Fishmonger. Everyone should get to go to a monger of some description, it makes any day better.

There were a lot of old sci-fi novels in my house growing up, and I'd always wished I could explore the lavish, bizarre landscapes I saw on the covers. I think this might do the trick.
Ben Chandler@threeohfour.bsky.social · 8mo agoI feel like every scene I draw for Gilt is a real struggle and I am never satisfied, but then I put the character sprites over my WIPs and seeing them hanging out in that world makes me happy.
If this is anything like their last game, this is something that will linger in the mind long after the credits roll. If On A Winter's Night Four Travellers was a dark, ornately crafted treat. Can't wait for this one.

Made the mistake of trying to leave the house this weekend. I had to admit defeat and go home instead of going to the cinema. When it's too hot to sit in a dark room with a fan on, that's when you know it's bad.
there should be a consumer electronics review site called does it beep dot com and the sole criteria it uses to judge kitchen appliances, cars, washing machines, etc is whether it beeps at you and if so how annoying the beeps are

I have now encountered every Vessel in Slay The Princess and the small (and big) differences are delightful. I thought they would be a few broad types, but they occupy quite small spaces on various continuum of divinity/humanity, active/passive and so on.
This Christmas I got Slay The Princess and I am fascinated at how the initial limited choices branch out into this really complicated web. It's marvellous design.
