Exclusively posting here now about HK/China and global events/issues. Occasional nonsense.

Many of the videos show foreigners engaging in uncivilized behavior and disrupting China’s cleanliness, etiquette, and public order. In these scenes, foreigners are portrayed as dirty, smelly, and disorderly. These videos predominantly feature Indian characters.

Chinese viral AI videos are turning foreigners into villains, flooding Chinese social media. They depict foreigners as threats to China’s social, moral, and national order. Strong, confident Chinese people confront, violently beat, and humiliate them in defense of their country. See more below🧵

The right love to portray migration as an "invasion" & it's usually nonsense. In this case however, it's hard to call it anything else - 49,000 people in 24 hours into a territory of 83,500 ppl / 18.5sq km. If the Spanish govt don't deal with this effectively, the right will destroy them over it.

It's hard to buy ethically, because many companies simply lie about where their products are from. 22% here failed country-of-origin testing (a further 6% needed further testing). ALL of the tomato products that failed came from China. Of those, 53% were from Xinjiang. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-07...

We had the origin of more than 200 tomato products tested. The results were shocking

One of Australia's biggest tomato brands and two major supermarkets are selling products that exclusive forensic testing shows have misleading labelling.

Does anyone know why Laura Loomer flipped to start supporting Ukraine? I mean... good I suppose, but I assume she's still a nut - or has she started flipping other previously held positions? Is it a grift? Did something happen to her (fell out with her Russian handler)? Was is some specific event?

And Moscow is deeply superstitious about sparks, especially in August. From the 1991 coup to economic crashes and military disasters, August is historically a brutal, volatile month in russian history. Lets make it the Mother of All russian Augusts #MARA2026 4/4

When China proposed making it "easier" for foreigners to get permanent residency - by investing over $1.4m (so easy!!!) - the internet burst into apoplectic fury about how this would dilute racial purity & destroy the Han race in a way that makes the great replacement theory look mild and centrist.

I’ll add that there are indeed a lot of “culture wars” in China, they just usually aren’t spoken in English like you see in the West or India. China is probably not as bad as SK in terms of gender politics, but it’s getting there. And there are Han ethnic anxieties as stupid as white American ones.

For the short-term visitor who doesn't speak the language, China's extremely impressive. But you won't learn anything about the country's problems or see its repressive side on a short visit. Maybe that's why they're so keen for people "to come and see for themselves".

First closer videos of the burning refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar region, in Russia, and as expected it is total carnage. There are several independent fires raging, especially in the silo farm, but also other parts of the refinery are completely on fire.

All footy fans know the 2026 World Cup expanded to 48 teams from 32. Now that we're into the "last 32" at 2026, we can see which confederations have EARNED those extra places on the pitch. So in the next post I will list: Confederation - 2022 WC places - 2026 WC places - 2026 last 32 places
