Went on a nature walk on Monday.

Another hike/walk with rain.

Lucky for me to have this Friday off and to be at immigration. At least it’s not crazily busy.

Wore my Pokemon Gengar sweater for Halloween today. Got some compliments on it. But dang, it’s still too warm for sweaters.

The oldest has really gotten into the Zelda Breath of the Wild game. The other day he asked what was the first Zelda game I played.

Spooky 👻 photos I did in 2021 #longexposure #photography

Blooming cherry blossoms in October. I guess this is a jugatsuzakura (十月桜), literally October cherry blossom. Online says it’s “a rare Japanese cherry tree variety that blooms twice a year.”

So frustrating to see these kids totally reliant AI. To the point that they can’t complete simple assignments.

Boys are watching Ghostbusters II and made a comment about how they wish there was a 3rd movie. Then corrected themselves and said 3rd old movie.

I’m seeing online discussion about anime/manga copyright and online piracy. Something along the lines that Japanese don’t pirate these things. Such a blanket statement is false. I’ve seen plenty of Japanese HS students access pirated sites on their phones.

I love that my boys love Ghostbusters.

Blue Spider Lily A rare, mystical flower that only blooms during the daytime for two to three days a year. It was the key ingredient in an experimental medicine that cured Muzan Kibutsuji's fatal human illness, but turned him into a demon vulnerable to sunlight.

Large wooden floats are wheeled up and down the streets. When they meet another they will stop and have music/performance face-off. You may even find 3 or 4 floats in a face-off together. #川越祭　#japan #festival Kawagoe Festival, Oct 18

Pokemon Go is great at pushing notifications about events and reminders. However I never get notifications about my Pokemon at gyms.

You deserve a portrait that you like, made in a way that's enjoyable, even if you don't like being in front of the camera. I make portraits on location across Tokyo. Make an advance booking now and get ¥10,000 off my regular rate. Let's make something great together.

The Kawagoe Festival is this weekend. I’m thinking I’ll be there Sunday afternoon/evening, if anyone wants to meet.

A pro of having to work on a public holiday is that the commute isn’t packed. Wonder how many students will come today?
