It's actually insane to me that tourists tell us we chose to live in a tourist town when we complain about rude tourists who treat Salem like an amusement park. The solution isn't that we move, its that tourists learn to behave. You're a visitor in our home. Learn city etiquette and be nice. ✌🏼

The number of times people comment on how I look tired, sick, or like I'm sweating from how hot it is at work and it's just me existing without foundation and concealer. lmao Usually my makeup hides redness and eye bags. That's makeup 101.

It's not just illiteracy among readers that's worrying. I've been pretty stunned in the last few years re: illiteracy among publishing professionals, too. Just....incapable of inferring anything other than the literal meanings of words on the page.
