An absolutely beautiful review of Book 1 of The Invoker Trilogy! It is the most amazing feeling when a reader really understands what you’re trying to do! Thank you! 🥹

I read an early copy of This is How the World Ends by @discobooks.bsky.social as part of my TRR26🏳️‍⚧️ & it was a wild ride! So much story & thought packed into such a little novella. Highly recommend for fellow queer dystopian horror lovers & excited for release! @nefariousbatpress.bsky.social #booksky

RESISTANCE AGAINST CORRUPT GOVERNMENTS 📚RECS Stories help us name what’s wrong, even when the world at large won’t. Books don’t just entertain, they expose the truth. Fiction has ALWAYS been a mirror, and sometimes it’s a warning. Right about now, I think we need both. Eyes open, friends. #booksky

On Sundays She Picks Flowers is a gruesome tale of intergenerational trauma that was brimming with as much trueness as surreality. It demands a deeper lens and a willingness to look beneath the horror to what lies underneath. What I found there will be with me for quite some time. #booksky

Starting today the Fantasy Finisher’s book club will switch over to Realm of Ash by Tasha Suri! We read Empire of Sand in the month of November and collectively loved it! Can’t wait to dive in the last installment in this duology. Find us on fable via the link in my bio! #booksky

What is the ONE BOOK that if you see it in the background on someone’s shelf, you will immediately follow them? Mine is A Song of Legends Lost by M.H. Ayinde. It signals a love of diverse epic fantasy, queernorm worlds, & championing debut authors; to me that means…instant book besties!!! #booksky

A bit of a mixed bag for October but such a good trade off for two 5 star reads: ✨The Land of the Living and the Dead (phenomenal series overall) and ✨Bloodtide by Sophie Burnham (the most underhyped series to exist) What was your top read in the month of October? #booksky

Queernorm stories build worlds where queerness exists w/out explanation or judgment, where identity doesn’t have to be defended to be real. Even when queer characters aren’t at the center, the absence of prejudice reshapes the story itself, and that is powerful. Here’s my underrated faves! #booksky
