HEYYYYY I got into MCM London in October! 🎉 This will be my first time tabling as myself (rather than as half of a comics duo), so I'm excited and slightly anxious and already have a brimming spreadsheet full of tasks. More details to follow, but I'll see you 23-25 October! #MCMLondon

As someone who followed the series from day one, and has had a good fortune to meet the people behind it, do yourself a favor and get this anyway you can. A truly remarkable work from some wonderful people.

The first 9 pages of #CrystalHeart (thanks, carousel!) If you like the vibe of these, the full graphic novel has 300 more. And--as is often the case with webcomics--the art and writing get about 7 years' worth better as it goes! www.uptofourplayers.com/crystal-hear...

A thing I find fascinating and is still unclear to me is how religious people seem to default to being cool with AI. I may be wrong about this, but I think every religious Jew I know, and every religious Christian I know about, see no problem with AI use for art.

Academia is classic game and metagame. The ‘game’ is acquiring skills and knowle by dge so you can produce a paper , the metagame is ‘producing a paper’ and that’s all you’re marked on, hence cheating and shortcutting that means you win the metagame while opting out of the game.

The thing is, 95% bullshitting a paper is actually doing most of the important skills development work of writing a paper . "The point of writing a paper is to have a good final product" is something believed by people who paid others to write their papers but somehow they run universities now
