"Meredith how do I become a voice actor?" Learn how to act. "OK but how do I become a voice actor?" Learn how to act! "No but seriously what's the secret sauce on becoming a voice actor?" Learning how to act!! (Which can be expensive, yes, but I do know how to score affordable workarounds!)
Voice acting is....acting. With your voice. Nobody complains that household name film and TV actors use their same voices for almost all of their work. Because it doesn't matter. An increased range just means casting an increased net. But range still isn't as important as your actual acting skills.
Dial Liz-Z for Zombie (Lizzy Rose Oliver - Voice Actress)@lizzyrosevo.bsky.social · 7mo agoIt always amuses me when people wanna say something like "Urgh, she just uses her normal voice for everything!" when...yeah, cuz the clients asked me to? What? Am I supposed to say "I'm sorry, I reached my normal voice quota for this year. You'll have to ask me to do a different one"? XD

These are screen grabs from an internal animation test we did a year and a half ago. I'm surprised these images were released. Sofia's model has been revised at least 9 times since this test.

I get to work with Megatron! LOL! Or... one of them anyway. Maybe my second favorite Megatron behind the obvious GOAT, Frank Welker.

Skylar Dunn should play Princess Zelda in the live action Legend of Zelda Movie. #legendofzeldamovie #zeldamovie #legendofzelda #zelda
I honest to god need Jon Hamm to play Bruce Wayne before he gets too old to do so. (Whisper) What was that? He’s 54? Dammit…
I unironically think when Clancy Brown, for one reason or another, stops voicing Lex Luthor, @jmarnocha.bsky.social will take over voicing him.

*sighs* This is exactly why I am going to need you ALL to get behind Jentry Chau Vs The Underworld as soon as it launches on Dec 5th. I promise you’re gonna love it. You’ll be gutted if we don’t get to tell more of her story (not in a cliffhangery way, in a these-characters-freaking-rule way).
Akilla Cooper@akelacooper.bsky.social · 2y agoUnfortunately this is what Netflix does. They don’t market. They prefer if things go viral on their own. It’s the lesson they learned from Stranger Things and it now applies to all of their new films/tv shows.

People love saying that a Super Smash Bros. Cinematic Universe would be awesome. No. It wouldn’t. It WOULD be cool to get a Super Smash Bros. adaptation, don’t get me wrong. But not as a shared universe. Something more like an anime series.
