325 #kakapo! The chicks from this year's record breeding season are now juveniles and so have been added to the population. In 1995 there were just 51 kākāpō left. Recovery of critically endangered species _is_ possible with sustained effort. #kakapo2026 #conservation #parrots

Ahhh, waking up in the fives was worth it, I got into the highly competitive* pottery class at my rec centre!!! *just to get in, once you're there everyone is lovely (from the one previous time I managed it)

So, I'm definitely biased because I love everything SuperFam, (or maybe my expectations were low because I'd heard underwhelming things), so I really enjoyed the new Supergirl movie. The emotional stakes were really well done and I liked Milly's Kara a lot.

I love how humans are wired to help. Like, I once read accounts of paramedics and they said that giving people a 'job' to round up things or count supplies or whatever would calm them down more than anything else. I see it all the time in myself. I could be having a blah day but if...

Right now I think I'd prefer my writing to be utter trash than what it is now. At least bad writing is *saying* something. My current writing is just... bland. Mediocre. Boring. I don't have a 'voice'. I don't have a style. I would give anything to have really descriptive or distinct writing!

In case anyone was wondering, I asked this on tumblr too and the consensus was that people with low vision or colour blindness would need the contrast of black text on white (or reversed) and to have who is speaking written out in the text/color coding speakers isn't very accessible.

Just booked an appointment to give blood next month and the process could not have been smoother/the nurse nicer! (I had to check that certain meds didn't make me ineligible)

My anxiety has ratcheted up a notch this summer so ofc the pharmacy/my doctor has made it extra difficult to get my meds on time lately
