It isn’t Dems who called public health efforts amid a pandemic “tyranny.” Like, political violence has always been heavily stacked on one side: the right. Always. That’s what data shows.
Democrats haven’t spent decades calling their opponents unAmerican. It hasn’t been Dems talking about “Second Amendment remedies” or a national divorce. It hasn’t been Dems calling their opponents child groomers or pedophiles. It isn’t Dems cheering on violence against their perceived enemies.
If I were the chair of the DNC and a Democratic gubernatorial candidate was attacked in the critical midterm election year, I’d probably highlight the fact that Donald Trump and the right have been stoking political violence for years with conspiracy bullshit and civil war rhetoric.
