an opinion of mine that no one wants to hear but im saying it anyway. if you are an animation fan showing up for wildwood but ignored forgotten island completely, this is specifically for you

i think this is gonna makes some people angry. but whatever. can i just say that i find it so sad that people (even a few mutuals of mine, i look at some of y'all's stories/posts) are showing up for wildwood and seemed to not care at all about forgotten island during its entire theatrical run. now it's pulled out from most cinemas. yes stop motion is a beautiful art form and laika always puts out the best stuff out there. literally i watched coraline over & over as a kid. i just cant help but mourn that animation fans in general... seemed to completely ignore this movie altogether. why. why????? did you never hear about it before? or did you just... not care about it enough to give it a chance? i will always feel a little bitterness in my heart if you are one of those animation fans who did show up for wildwood but ignored forgotten island completely post: WHY YOU SHOULD'VE SEEN FORGOTTEN ISLAND IN THEATRES (And Every Other Original Animated Movie That Underperformed) By an animator IG: alfredtheartistanimator YT: alfredtheanimatorillustrator @alfredtheartistanimator

// avatar seven havens spoilers (kinda?) i may not like how the avatar creators write romance in general with all their shows, but there's something so deeply moving about seeing old, MARRIED korrasami, who paved the way for queer rep in animated media now when back then it was so restricted

looking at the comments on twt & some youtube videos about the bioware closure out of curiosity was a mistake. "going woke" didnt kill the company, for fuck's sake. private equity & corporate greed did.

Dude I’m so TIRED of constantly rebuilding my following and posting the same thing to 4 different sites because you never know when one might do something dumb and tank. I just want to be an artist. I’m exhausted.

UPDATE 10/15: After playing around with Shiyoon's brushes on PS, I made modified versions of all the brushes that uses the original brush shape that Shiyoon used (Chalk 32 pixels). I think these versions mimick Shiyoon's brushes more. Hope you enjoy them! Get them here: ko-fi.com/s/a09792194f
