Possibly the most gracious synthesis for this neurotic website is the IC is heavily white people (and diaspora) who have no experience nor interest in the actual inner lives of those in eg Cuba. This fact is entirely orthogonal to the historical legitimacy of Cuba’s revolutionary leadership etc

I think it's key to understanding their worldview that they imagine a world not *without* immigrants, but one in which immigrants' inferiority is permanently asserted and they become a subservient caste. All these people worship the Gulf States.

Why does the IDF, which occupies Palestinian territory for the sole purpose of stealing it and defending the people who steal it, not remove the people who steal the land? What a hard question. I guess I have to get paid 150k per year to work for a think tank to not figure out why.

Yes and: The White House grounds are now behind a big fence, so it’s not always in your face. What is most obvious to me living in DC are the national guard everywhere, in the metro, walking by kids schools. That occupation gets coverage but it’s hard to convey precisely how it’s daily life here

More politicians should make decisions based on augury. Watch bird migration patterns to determine your tax plan. Observe the feeding patterns of chickens to develop your housing policy. Choose which cities get new development based on where vultures land.
