The Labor government’s decision not to adequately fight for PBS on GLP-1s for low income demographics is a sad and deadly indictment of their outdated assumptions about weight, and a repugnant example of moral failure in healthcare policy

lol at Coles suddenly sending a letter to Getup demanding they take down digital ads about Coles surveillance data partnership with Palantir because it featured footage of a Coles staff member and “breached their privacy”
Finished four interviews in one day then smacked my head on the corner of a kitchen cabinet. Yep that is a very Wednesday day 😂
This is disturbing. Scammers going door to door claiming to be Home Affairs. The Department has put out a warning. #auspol #ScamWatch
A break this week … four interviews today. Two down, two to go.
Last week was a bit meh so I decided to give myself a break this week. Apart from a few unavoidable tasks, I’m not doing anything I’m “supposed to” this week. I’ve been working relentlessly for about 3.5 months now and that’s too much.
I’ve made walkable cities people mad again. Because I said they have a long way to go to be inclusive of disability, they accused me of taking money from oil companies 😂 Exactly the problem with those wankers. They cannot admit they need to do better. If you don’t agree, you must be attacked.
Procrastinating going to bed because tomorrow has lots of compulsory things in it.
For a week off, I’ve had some ridiculous stuff. Not much of an “off” so far.

You’d think with the amount of medication I take I could use the packets without slicing my fingers on the foil, but no, it’s a regular thing. And I just did it again 🤦♀️
Time lapses I take are mostly of clouds and sky, which means they may have flashing effects in them and be unsuitable for some people. youtu.be/KCre9QgYS-8

Corridoring is not care. I’ve been ramped and then corridored before. One overworked nurse with far too many acute patients and no tools. If I’d died in the hallway I doubt anyone would have noticed for hours. One person can only do so much.
"What they seem to be doing is shifting the problem directly from the ramp, into the hospital corridors. So they are moving a visible problem into a hidden area,"

PSA: overheard at chemist warehouse. Customers getting out of date/expired insulin supplied to them. If this is relevant to you - please be extra careful when filling your scripts. Check the drugs are in date.
Happened again. Ben went to fill two prescriptions and when he got to the counter to pay they said he had four. Counter staff got it removed again but we still have NFI what is going on. It had already been too long out of the house on this trip so couldn’t stop to ask for systemic fix.
I can't wait for the day all chemists burn in hell. I don't have capacity to be on my toes for all the things they get wrong and try to pull. For no fucking reason they asked me to pay for a prescription I wasn’t getting and hadn’t asked to fill. What the actual scammy fuck?
Honestly I feel so bad for the registrar because of the consultant she works under. If it doesn’t get squashed out of her, she will be an amazing specialist. She was able to focus in on the specialist knowledge while being inclusive & wholistic about other conditions.
Hospital phoned me again. At least my head was able to take the call. Shock horror my local hospital system is way behind on cardiology referrals & they’re updating people.

Any of my friends kobo users? Ben suggests I use a voucher to get one with a hefty discount. I’m wondering if e-ink would let me read more (lighten the load on the mecfs), and how the library integration is (I’m under the impression it can be fiddly). Kindle not an option.
I had no idea it was Sunday. Was confused why someone was live when they usually aren’t on Saturday. Anyway, sure this flare is going great 😂
Pacing is hard. My body needs it and my mind is not happy.
We are officially underway! For the month of August I will be raising money for the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia. They're an amazing org who try to brighten the lives of seriously ill and palliative kids 💜 Please dig deep if you can. The goal is AUD 1502! tiltify.com/@mx-fee/game...

If we want people to stop turning to alternative medicine and being murdered via malpractice, we need actual funding for effective treatments for ME/CFS, not just "validating patient concerns". There is no effective, evidence-based treatment for ME/CFS. Only palliative medicines.

No podcast episode today. My head has been on the verge of migraine for a few days & I’m not risking it. Plus I just had to make a phone call which made it dodgier feeling.
